What does Danfoss HCP mean?

On the Danfoss AK-RC 204B/205C walk-in controller, HCP is a HACCP alarm. The manual states the temperature has reached the value of parameter h1 for a longer period than the time established in h2. It is a food-safety record alarm: the room has held an unsafe temperature long enough to be logged. A related alarm, hCP plus PF, indicates the same HACCP threshold reached following a power failure.

Symptoms

• Display shows the HCP alarm (or hCP with PF after a power failure).
• Room temperature reached the HACCP limit set in h1.
• The over-temperature lasted longer than the h2 time.
• Acoustic alarm and/or alarm relay activate.

Common causes

• Sustained high-temperature event such as a cooling failure.
• Doors left open or heavy load warming the room past h1.
