What does Taylor Freezers F5 mean?

F5 in the Taylor R280 Manager Function Menu is the Set Units function. It lets you switch the dispenser's weight display and all portion targets between imperial (lb) and metric (g) modes. Changing this setting affects how basket load targets are shown on the LED display and how values are entered in other manager functions such as F2.

Symptoms

• Basket load weights display in the wrong unit system (lb shown when g expected, or vice versa).

   Enter the Manager Menu

   Press and hold the appropriate button sequence to access the Manager Menu on the R280 control panel. Enter the five-digit password if one has been set, or proceed directly if no password is configured.

   Use the Up or Down buttons to scroll through the function list until 'F5' appears on the LED display, then press Enter to open the Set Units function.

   Select the desired unit system

   Press the Up button to set metric units (display shows 'gr') or the Down button to set English/imperial units (display shows 'Lb').

   Press Enter to store the new unit setting. The controller saves the selection and returns to the F5 menu position.
