What does Taylor Freezers F6 mean?

F6 in the Taylor R280 Manager Function Menu is the Set Password function. It allows a five-digit numeric password to be established for the Manager Menu and Diagnostic Menu. Once set, operators must enter this password to access any manager or diagnostic function. If no password is configured, the menus are accessible without any code entry.

   Enter the new five-digit password

   Use the Basket Size buttons on the left and right sides to enter each digit of the desired five-digit password. The display updates to confirm each digit entry.

   Press Enter to store the password

   After entering all five digits, press Enter. The controller saves the password and returns to the F6 function position in the menu.

   Exit the menu and test the new password

   Navigate to F1 and press Enter to exit. Re-enter the Manager Menu to verify the new password is required and accepted correctly.

   Record the password in a secure location

   Document the new password in the site's equipment service log. If the manager password is lost, the universal service password 22463 provides backup access for technicians.
