What does Electrolux Professional GbCd mean?

GbCd means the lower cavity gas burner on a gas SkyLine oven has locked out, and the cooking cycle is paused. As with the upper burner alarm, the oven will not operate until burner function is restored, and the causes are typically gas-supply, electrical-supply, or internal burner problems.

Symptoms

  • GbCd displayed and the cycle pauses
  • Lower cavity gas burner not igniting
  • Oven will not operate until burner restored
  • May follow repeated ignition attempts

Common causes

  • Air in the gas supply
  • Gas supply is closed
  • Issue with the electric supply of the burner system
  • Burner system internal failure

Diagnostic steps

  1. 01

Switch the oven off and on

If the error occurs at cycle start, switch the oven OFF then ON.

  2. 02

    Check the gas main valve

If the error occurs after five ignition attempts, check that the gas supply main valve is open.

  3. 03

    Reset and retry

Reset the error and attempt a new cycle.

  4. 04

    Power-cycle and retry again

If the error persists, switch the oven OFF/ON and attempt a new cycle again.

  5. 05

    Call Service if it persists

If the problem persists, call Service.

When to call a professional

Confirm the gas main valve is open and power-cycle the oven first. Call an Electrolux Professional gas engineer if GbCd persists, as air in the gas line, an electrical fault in the burner system, or an internal burner failure need trained gas diagnosis. Gas burner repairs must always be performed by a qualified technician for correct operation and safety.
