What does Sirman E2 mean?

The PLD 300-330-350 AUT slice counter feature is enabled, but the target number of slices has been programmed to zero. Because the machine cannot execute a cycle for zero slices, the control blocks operation and displays E2. This is a parameter configuration error, not a mechanical or electrical fault. The operator or technician must enter a valid, non-zero slice count before the machine will run.

Symptoms

• Display shows 'E2' when attempting to start a portioning or slicing cycle
• Machine does not begin any cutting or portioning movement
• Slice counter feature is shown as active in the control settings
• All other machine functions and controls appear normal and responsive
• Error clears immediately once a valid number of slices is entered

Diagnostic steps

   Confirm the slice counter is enabled

   Navigate to the slice counter settings on the PLD 300/330/350 AUT control panel and confirm that the slice counter function is indeed active, as this is the prerequisite condition for E2 to appear.

   Enter a valid non-zero slice count

   Using the control panel, input the required number of slices for the current production run. The value must be greater than zero for the machine to accept the setting and allow the cycle to proceed.

   Confirm the new value is saved

   After entering the slice count, confirm or save the setting per the control panel procedure so the machine registers the new value before attempting to start.

   Restart the cycle and verify E2 is cleared

   Press the start key and confirm that E2 no longer appears and that the machine begins the portioning cycle normally, counting down from the entered slice value.

   Alternatively, disable the slice counter if not needed

   If counted portioning is not required for the current task, disable the slice counter feature entirely in the control settings so the machine runs in continuous mode without requiring a target slice value.
