AccuTemp HIGH WATER Error Code

Too much water in the steamer (connected models only) - do not open the door

Source: AccuTemp/e62083d100__acc-e-iom.pdf

What does AccuTemp HIGH WATER mean?

The HIGH WATER warning light appears on connected (plumbed) AccuTemp Evolution steamers when there is too much water in the steamer. Do not open the door while this light is on. The correct response is to open the drain valve and drain water until the high-water indicator lamp goes off. The condition also prevents the steamer from coming on until the level is corrected.

Symptoms

  • HIGH WATER warning light is illuminated (connected models only)
  • Steamer will not turn on or resume operation
  • Excess water visible in the cooking chamber
  • Risk of hot water spilling if the door is opened

Common causes

  • Water level in the cooking chamber has risen above the normal fill point
  • Float not in place or not controlling the fill correctly
  • Auto-fill or water-inlet valve overfilling the chamber
  • Drain valve closed or blocked, preventing excess from draining

Diagnostic steps

  1. Keep the door closed

Do not open the door while the HIGH WATER light is on, to avoid hot water escaping the chamber.

  2. Open the drain valve

Open the drain valve and drain water until the high-water indicator lamp goes off.

  3. Verify the float is in place

If the steamer will not come on, verify the float is in place so the level controls can function correctly.

  4. Restart once the light clears

After the high-water lamp goes out, close the drain valve and restart the steamer; it should resume its normal fill and heat cycle.

When to call a professional

Draining the chamber and checking the float clears most high-water warnings. Because this fault is specific to connected models with automatic fill, a light that keeps returning points to a stuck fill valve, faulty float or level-sensing problem. If draining and reseating the float do not resolve it, contact AccuTemp Technical Service at 800-480-0415, as the auto-fill and water-board components should be serviced by authorized personnel.
