Unox AF43 Error Code
Single-point or multi-point core probe completely damaged.

What does Unox AF43 mean?
AF43 means the core (food) probe — single-point or multi-point — is completely damaged. The oven can no longer get a usable reading from the core temperature probe, so functions that rely on core probe cooking are blocked and the alarm is raised. A completely damaged probe is one that is open or fully out of range, not just partially failing.
Symptoms
- AF43 shown on the control panel
- Core probe cooking unavailable
- No or implausible core temperature reading
- Alarm persists with the probe connected
Common causes
- Core probe fully open or short (completely damaged)
- Broken probe cable or connector
- Probe out of resistance specification
- Connection fault at the probe socket

Diagnostic steps
Power down and inspect the probe
Turn off the power supply and inspect the core probe and its cable for visible damage or breaks.
Check the connection
Confirm the core probe is properly connected at its socket and reseat it if needed.
Measure the probe
Measure the probe with a multimeter; a completely open or out-of-range value confirms a damaged probe.
Replace the core probe
Replace the damaged single-point or multi-point core probe and retest core probe cooking.
When to call a professional
AF43 usually points to a failed core probe that needs replacing with the correct Unox part. If reseating the connector does not clear it and you cannot safely measure the probe, have a qualified Unox technician confirm the fault and fit the correct replacement probe.
