What does AHT Cooling Systems E07 mean?
The control board reports a fault in the compressor safety chain. The compressor safety chain is the series circuit of protective devices — including the compressor internal thermostat (PTC/thermistor), high-pressure cut-out switch, and motor overload protector — that must all be closed for the compressor to operate. E07 triggers when this chain opens, indicating one of these protective devices has tripped to prevent compressor damage.
Symptoms
- E07 fault code displayed with red LED and buzzer active.
- Compressor shut down — cabinet temperature will rise without cooling.
- High-pressure cut-out may have popped due to condenser overpressure.
- Compressor motor may be hot to the touch if the internal motor protector tripped.
- Goods room temperature rises progressively — transfer goods immediately.
Common causes
- High-pressure cut-out switch tripped due to a blocked or fouled condenser causing excessive condensing pressure.
- Compressor internal motor protector tripped due to overheating or overloading.
- Compressor motor overload relay tripped due to high current draw.
- Wiring fault in the safety chain circuit — broken wire, loose terminal, or corroded connector.
- Ambient temperature too high, overloading the condenser and triggering high-pressure protection.
- Refrigerant overcharge causing excessively high discharge pressure.
Diagnostic steps
- 01
Move goods and record fault details
Transfer perishable goods to another correctly rated cabinet immediately. Note E07, device type, and serial number from the nameplate.

Allow compressor to cool and check condenser
Give the compressor 15–30 minutes to cool before any reset attempt. Inspect the condenser coils and grilles for dust blockage — a dirty condenser is the most common cause of high-pressure trips. Clean if fouled per the AHT cleaning procedure.

Check ambient temperature
Verify that the store ambient temperature is within the rated ambient class for the cabinet. Excessive ambient heat is a frequent trigger for compressor safety chain trips.
- 04
Inspect safety chain wiring
With the cabinet isolated from mains power, check connectors and wiring in the compressor safety chain for loose terminals or broken wires. Reseat all connectors.

Attempt a single power cycle after the compressor has cooled
If condenser is clean and ambient temperature is within specification, reconnect power and observe if E07 clears and the compressor starts normally. If E07 returns or the compressor fails to start, do not attempt further resets.
