AHT Cooling Systems E10 Error Code
tension d'alimentation trop faible / trop élevée E11 faible tension de batterie

What does AHT Cooling Systems E10 mean?
The control board detects that the mains supply voltage is either too low or too high relative to the cabinet's rated operating voltage range. The AHT Vento is designed for a specific nominal voltage (typically 230 V AC, 50 Hz for European units — see nameplate). Operating outside the permitted voltage band risks damaging the compressor, control board, and other electrical components, and also reduces refrigeration performance. E10 triggers to alert staff and protect the system.
Symptoms
- E10 fault code displayed with red LED and buzzer active.
- Cabinet may shut down the compressor as a protective measure.
- Dimmer or brighter than normal lighting — visible sign of low or high voltage.
- Compressor may struggle to start (low voltage) or run abnormally loud (high voltage).
- Other electrical equipment in the store may also show signs of supply voltage abnormalities.
Common causes
- Supply voltage from the mains circuit below the cabinet's minimum rating — common during peak load periods or in areas with weak grid supply.
- Supply voltage above the cabinet's maximum rating — can occur in areas with poorly regulated supply or during off-peak hours.
- Voltage drop across undersized supply cabling or a corroded connection in the distribution board.
- Faulty extension cord or non-compliant electrical installation — the AHT manual prohibits extension leads.
- Transient voltage spikes from other equipment on the same circuit causing an over-voltage detection.

Diagnostic steps
Do not use extension cords
The AHT Vento must be connected directly to a dedicated, correctly rated mains outlet. Remove any extension cords or multi-way adapters immediately — the AHT IOM explicitly prohibits these.
Measure supply voltage at the cabinet
Use a calibrated multimeter to measure the supply voltage at the cabinet's mains plug or socket. Compare to the rated voltage on the nameplate (see AHT IOM Chapter 2.2.1). Record the reading for the service technician.
Check supply cable and connections
Inspect the mains supply cable and socket for signs of overheating, damage, or corrosion. Damaged supply cables must be replaced by a qualified electrician per AHT IOM guidance.
Check if the problem is site-wide
Determine if other equipment in the store is also experiencing voltage problems. If so, the issue is in the building's electrical supply or distribution — contact a licensed electrician and the electricity supplier.
Contact AHT service if E10 persists on correct supply
If voltage at the socket is within specification but E10 persists, the voltage monitoring circuit on the control board may be faulty. Contact AHT service at 00800/73783248 or www.aht.at/service.
When to call a professional
Electrical supply and wiring issues must be addressed by a licensed electrician. If supply voltage is confirmed within specification and E10 persists, an AHT-authorized technician is required for control board diagnosis. Contact AHT service at 00800/73783248 or www.aht.at/service.
