What does Carel E10 mean?

The E10 alarm on Carel ir33 and pCO controllers indicates that serial probe S10 has not been updated by the controller within the polling timeout period. S10 is part of the Carel serial probe network. When S10 communication fails, any control or alarm function dependent on this probe's reading falls back to duty-cycle operation controlled by parameter c4.

Symptoms

• E10 shown on the controller display alternating with temperature.
• S10-dependent control functions operate in duty-cycle fallback.
• Alarm relay and buzzer activate.
• The monitoring zone assigned to S10 has no live temperature readings.

• Data cable break or short between the controller and the S10 probe.
