E201 on Carel heaterSteam humidifiers signals an internal memory error. The controller has detected a fault in its non-volatile memory (EEPROM or flash) that prevents it from reliably storing or retrieving operating parameters. The humidifier is disabled immediately and cannot operate until the controller's internal memory is reprogrammed by the Carel service department.

Symptoms

• Humidifier is disabled — no steam production.
• E201 displayed on the controller.
• Operating parameters may be lost or corrupted.
