What does Carel E212 mean?

E212 on Carel heaterSteam humidifiers indicates a user parameter error. The controller has detected that one or more of the operating parameters stored in memory are outside their valid range or are inconsistent, preventing safe operation. The humidifier is disabled and the parameters must be checked and corrected before the unit will restart.

Symptoms

• Humidifier is disabled — steam production stops.
• E212 displayed on the controller.
• Some or all operating parameters may show out-of-range or default values.

Diagnostic steps

   Re-energize the controller and attempt to access the parameter menu by pressing PRG for more than 5 seconds. Record any parameters that show clearly incorrect or default values.

   Perform a factory default recall if needed
