Dixell XW controller — serious external / pressure-switch alarm

Source: Coreco_1592027610-xw60lt-xw60lrt-gb-r10-13022012_termostatos.pdf

What does Coreco CA mean?

On the Coreco controller (Dixell XW30/XW60/XW70), CA is a serious external alarm when a digital input is set as bAL, or a pressure-switch alarm when set as PAL. All regulation outputs are switched OFF while CA is active.

Symptoms

  • Display shows CA
  • All outputs OFF (refrigeration stopped)
  • Buzzer/alarm relay active
  • On PAL: nPS pressure-switch trips within the did window

Common causes

  • Serious external alarm on a bAL-configured input
  • Pressure switch tripped (PAL) — high/low pressure
  • Repeated pressure-switch activations reaching nPS within did
  • Fault in the connected protection device
  • Digital-input wiring or i1F/i2F configuration issue

Diagnostic steps

  1. Recognise the shutdown

CA stops all outputs. Determine whether the input is bAL (serious external) or PAL (pressure switch).

  2. Investigate the protection device

For PAL, inspect the pressure switch and the refrigeration condition that tripped it; for bAL, inspect the external protection device.

  3. Reset per the manual

For repeated PAL trips reaching nPS, switch the instrument off and on to restart regulation after the cause is fixed.

When to call a professional

CA indicates a serious/pressure fault that stops the unit. Have a qualified refrigeration technician diagnose the pressure or protection condition before returning it to service; this work is reserved for qualified personnel.
