Coreco EE Error Code
Unit parameter reading (data) error — saved configuration data error
Source: Coreco_easy_compact_eng_termostatos.pdf
What does Coreco EE mean?
On the Coreco controller (Carel easy / easy compact), EE is a unit-parameter reading error: the microprocessor has detected an error in the saved data, shown during operation or at power-up. These data errors can compromise correct operation. EE cannot be reset manually. If the message disappears the controller can keep running; if it persists, the controller needs to be replaced.
Symptoms
- Display shows EE during operation or on power-up
- Buzzer sounds (the LED/buzzer indication is active)
- Controller behaviour may be unreliable due to corrupted saved data
- EE may appear intermittently or remain on for some time
- Manual reset is not possible for this alarm
Common causes
- Microprocessor detected an error in the saved unit-parameter data
- Corruption of stored configuration data in the controller memory
- Internal memory degradation affecting saved parameters
- Disturbance during a data save (e.g. power loss while writing)
- Controller fault requiring replacement when the error persists

Diagnostic steps
Note when EE appears
EE is a unit-parameter (data) error shown during operation or at power-up. Record whether it appears momentarily or stays on, as this guides the next action.
Mute the buzzer
Press SET to silence the buzzer; EE itself cannot be reset manually and clears only if the data error resolves.
Observe whether the message clears
If the EE message disappears, the controller can continue to be used; if it persists, the controller needs to be replaced.
Watch for frequent recurrence
When EE occurs frequently or remains for some time, the controller should be checked, as its original precision may no longer be guaranteed.
Plan replacement if it persists
If the fault persists, arrange for the controller to be replaced rather than relying on potentially corrupted saved parameters.
When to call a professional
Because EE indicates corrupted saved data and cannot be reset manually, a qualified technician should assess it whenever it recurs frequently or stays on, and replace the controller if the fault persists. Access to the cabinet's electrical parts and controller replacement are reserved for qualified personnel, who can also restore the correct parameter settings afterwards.

Other Coreco Error Codes
Control probe (probe 1) error — signal interrupted, short-circuited or incompatible probe
Evaporator / defrost probe (probe 2) error — signal interrupted, short-circuited or incompatible probe
Condenser / product probe (probe 3) error — signal interrupted, short-circuited or incompatible probe
Immediate or delayed alarm from the multifunction digital input (external alarm)
Open-door alarm from the door-switch digital input
Low-temperature alarm — measured temperature below set point by more than parameter AL
High-temperature alarm — measured temperature above set point by more than parameter AH
Operating parameter reading (data) error — manual reset
Defrost ended by timeout — last defrost stopped on maximum duration, not on temperature
Defrost running — status message shown during a defrost cycle (not an alarm)
Dirty-condenser warning/alarm — pre-alarm (cht) between Ac-AE and Ac, then alarm (CHt) when Ac is exceeded and refrigeration stops (manual reset)
Internal clock (RTC) alarm — clock fault; reset by setting the time
