Coreco LO Error Code
Low-temperature alarm — measured temperature below set point by more than parameter AL
Source: Coreco_easy_compact_eng_termostatos.pdf
What does Coreco LO mean?
On the Coreco controller (Carel easy / easy compact), LO is the low-temperature alarm: the probe has measured a temperature lower than the set point by an amount that exceeds parameter AL. LO flashes on the display alternating with the temperature and the buzzer sounds (if fitted and enabled). The alarm has automatic reset — it clears once the temperature returns within the limits set by AL.
Symptoms
- Display shows LO flashing alternating with the temperature
- Buzzer sounds when fitted and enabled
- Cabinet running colder than the intended set point
- Product over-chilling or freezing in a non-freezer cabinet
- Alarm clears on its own when the temperature recovers
Common causes
- Temperature has fallen below the set point by more than parameter AL
- Low-temperature alarm threshold (AL) or differential (A0) set too tight
- Alarm delay (Ad) too short for normal swings
- Control probe reading lower than actual temperature
- Refrigeration over-cooling (e.g. control or compressor staying on)

Diagnostic steps
Confirm the low-temperature condition
LO means the probe read a temperature lower than the set point by more than parameter AL. Note the actual displayed temperature to confirm the cabinet is genuinely too cold.
Mute the buzzer
Press SET to silence the buzzer; LO clears automatically once the temperature is back within limits.
Check the alarm parameters
Review parameters AL (low-temperature threshold), Ad (alarm delay) and A0 (alarm/fan differential) to confirm the alarm thresholds suit the application.
Verify the probe reading
Compare the controller's displayed temperature with an independent thermometer to confirm whether the cabinet is truly over-cold or the probe is reading low.
Investigate over-cooling
If the cabinet really is too cold, check that the controller is calling correctly and the refrigeration is not running beyond the set point before the alarm auto-resets.
When to call a professional
If the LO alarm reflects a genuine over-cooling fault rather than a parameter or temporary swing, a qualified refrigeration technician should investigate. Adjusting alarm parameters and diagnosing the control or refrigeration circuit involves the cabinet's electrical and refrigeration systems, access to which is reserved for qualified personnel.

Control probe (probe 1) error — signal interrupted, short-circuited or incompatible probe
Evaporator / defrost probe (probe 2) error — signal interrupted, short-circuited or incompatible probe
Condenser / product probe (probe 3) error — signal interrupted, short-circuited or incompatible probe
Immediate or delayed alarm from the multifunction digital input (external alarm)
Open-door alarm from the door-switch digital input
High-temperature alarm — measured temperature above set point by more than parameter AH
Unit parameter reading (data) error — saved configuration data error
Operating parameter reading (data) error — manual reset
Defrost ended by timeout — last defrost stopped on maximum duration, not on temperature
Defrost running — status message shown during a defrost cycle (not an alarm)
Dirty-condenser warning/alarm — pre-alarm (cht) between Ac-AE and Ac, then alarm (CHt) when Ac is exceeded and refrigeration stops (manual reset)
Internal clock (RTC) alarm — clock fault; reset by setting the time
