What does Coreco E7 mean?

On the Coreco controller (Carel KDT-Touch), E7 is keypad-to-power-board communication error: no communication between the keypad and the power board for 60 seconds or longer puts the KDT keypad into error mode E7; the keypad stays completely inactive except for the display showing the label E7, and clears once communication is restored.

Symptoms

  • Display shows E7
  • Keypad inactive except for the display
  • No response to key presses

Common causes

  • No communication between the keypad and the power board (>=60 s)
  • Cable/connector fault between keypad and board
  • Power-board fault
