What does Coreco HA2 mean?

On the Coreco controller (Dixell XW30/XW60/XW70), HA2 is the condenser high-temperature alarm: the condenser probe has exceeded the Au2 limit after the Ad2 delay. What happens to the outputs depends on the AC2 parameter (compressor may be switched off).

Symptoms

  • Display shows HA2
  • Condenser running hot
  • Compressor may switch off depending on AC2

Common causes

  • Dirty or blocked condenser
  • Restricted condenser airflow
  • Failed or weak condenser fan
  • High ambient temperature

Diagnostic steps

  1. 01

    Clean the condenser

Clean the condenser coil and clear any airflow obstruction; HA2 means the condenser temperature exceeded the Au2 limit.

  2. 02

    Check the condenser fan

Confirm the condenser fan runs and moves air.

  3. 03

    Review AC2/Au2/Ad2

Verify the condenser-alarm parameters are set correctly for the unit.

When to call a professional
