What does Coreco rtF mean?
On the Coreco controller (Dixell XW30/XW60/XW70) with the optional RTC, rtF is a real-time-clock board failure: the alarm output turns on, defrosts fall back to the idF interval, and the manual says to contact the service.
Symptoms
- Display shows rtF
- Alarm output ON
- Scheduled defrosts revert to the idF interval
- Clock not keeping time
Common causes
- Real-time clock board hardware failure
- RTC unable to keep time after being set
Diagnostic steps
- 01
Note the RTC failure
rtF indicates the RTC board itself has failed; time-based defrosts revert to the idF interval in the meantime.
- 02
Arrange service
The manual instructs to contact the service — the controller/RTC board needs attention.
