What does Jeros AL 02 mean?

AL 02 is the rinse-tank counterpart of AL 01: the control has lost a valid signal from the rinse-tank temperature sensor because the circuit is disconnected or short-circuited. It appears on the operating panel across the Jeros utensil-washer range (8100/8105, 8150, 8160, 9110-15 and related models). The prescribed remedy is a power cycle, then an engineer if it returns.

Symptoms

• AL 02 shown on the operating panel display
• Alarm returns after switching the machine OFF and ON again
• Rinse-tank temperature reading no longer plausible while the alarm is active

Common causes

• Rinse-tank temperature sensor wiring disconnected
• Rinse-tank temperature sensor short-circuited
• Sensor circuit fault that persists across a power cycle

Diagnostic steps

1. 01

   Switch the machine OFF and then ON again

   Power-cycle the machine as the manual instructs — this clears a transient sensor fault.

2. 02

   Check whether AL 02 reoccurs

   If the display stays clear, resume service and observe the next wash/rinse cycle.

3. 03

   If AL 02 reoccurs, call an engineer

   A recurring AL 02 means the rinse-tank sensor circuit is disconnected or shorted and needs service-level diagnosis per the manual.

The manual's instruction is direct: if AL 02 reoccurs after a power cycle, call an engineer. Rinse-water temperature is a hygiene-critical parameter on these washers, so do not keep operating with a faulted rinse-tank sensor.
