What does Jeros AL 03 mean?

AL 03 means the thermal cut-out protecting wash pump 1 has tripped because the pump was overloaded. The motor protection opens to prevent winding damage and the control raises the alarm on the operating panel. The manual's remedy is a power cycle; a recurring AL 03 is an engineer call-out.

Symptoms

  • AL 03 shown on the operating panel display
  • Wash pump 1 stops while the alarm is active
  • Alarm returns after switching the machine OFF and ON again

Common causes

  • Wash pump 1 overloaded, tripping its thermal cut-out
  • Overload condition still present after a power cycle

Diagnostic steps

  1. 01

Switch the machine OFF and then ON again

Power-cycle the machine. This resets the control after the thermal cut-out event.

  2. 02

    Check whether AL 03 reoccurs

If the alarm stays clear, the trip was transient; resume operation and observe the next cycle.

  3. 03

If AL 03 reoccurs, call an engineer

A repeating trip means wash pump 1 is genuinely overloaded — per the manual this needs an engineer, not repeated resets.

When to call a professional

Call an engineer if AL 03 comes back after one power cycle — that is the manual's instruction. Repeatedly resetting an overloaded pump risks the motor; the cause of the overload has to be found at service level.
