What does Jeros AL 09 mean?

AL 09 means the water-overheating protection has tripped. The manuals' key to error codes lists AL 09 = overheating of wash water, temperature above 85 °C, and AL 09 = overheating of rinse water, temperature above 97 °C. In the Danish original text, overheating of rinse water is listed as AL 10.

Symptoms

  • AL 09 shown on the operating panel display
  • Wash water temperature above 85 °C
  • Rinse water temperature above 97 °C

Common causes

  • Wash water overheated beyond the 85 °C limit
  • Rinse water overheated beyond the 97 °C limit

Diagnostic steps

  1. 01

Stop and let the water cool

The alarm indicates water beyond its temperature limit — pause operation until the temperature falls back into range.

  2. 02

Switch the machine OFF and then ON again

Power-cycle the machine — the manual's standard reset for panel alarms.

  3. 03

If AL 09 reoccurs, call an engineer

Recurring overheating means the heating control is not holding its limits — an engineer-level fault on these washers.

When to call a professional

A repeating AL 09 means the machine keeps overheating its water — call an engineer rather than resetting repeatedly. Water that will not hold its temperature limit points at heating-control faults the operator sections of the Jeros manuals do not cover.
